A message from the editor
The Editor of the QGE Magazine is always looking for articles for the magazine. He is not fussed whether it is from willing volunteers or pressed men, but the quality of the finished magazine is wholly dependant on the contributions from our members.
Family News
When people pick up the Magazine the first place that they look is the Family News, (sorry Colonel, Chairman and Comdt Sahebs, they look at your pieces after this) as they want to find out what their numbries and former comrades are up to. This is especially true of the pensioners in Nepal as this is one of the few sources of information on ex-QGE wallahs.
The last couple of years has seen a decline in the number of updates for the Family News and therefore, in order to re-invigorate this section of the magazine I intend to once more target specific years. To this end I would particularly like to hear from you if you served in the Regt in the following year’s:
1948 - 1950
1958 - 1960
1968 - 1970
1978 - 1980
1988 - 1990
1998 - 2000
2008 - 2010
If you are outside of these years but still wish to let us know that is fine and I will publish all updates that I get.
The deadline for all Articles for the 2012 Edition is 16 MAR 2012
